My dog Meatball had TPLO surgery and hadn’t seen his grandma and grandpa for almost 2 weeks.

He finally reunited with them and he was so happy, even if he had to by physically contained. 🥰

We have about 6 more weeks of recovery and we both can’t wait for him to be able to run around. 💜

My husband and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary last night by walking dogs at our local animal shelter, the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha, Nebraska.

Everytime I’m there, I’m so amazed by how incredible these dogs are. They didn’t end up in the shelter because they’re bad dogs. Every rescue dog deserves a safe and loving home.

All these amazing dogs and more are available for adoption at the Nebraska Humane Society. 💜

My dog Meatball had TPLO surgery 2 weeks ago and he has finally graduated from having to wear the lick sleeve!

Even though he tolerated it very well, he’s happier being nakey and free! 😁

We have 6 more weeks of recovery so hoping it’s boring and healthy. 💜

My husband and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary by enjoying my favorite thing (dogs) and his favorite thing (food)! 🥰

My dog Meatball had TPLO surgery 2 weeks ago, which means it is now time to do a virtual check-in with his vet team on how his healing has been going.

I’m really hoping he gets to graduate from having to wear the lick sleeve, even though he’s been a trooper with it. 💜🤞

I surprised my friends with photos of their dogs that I dog sat! 🥹

Since becoming a dog mom especially to senior dogs, I’m obsessed with getting our family photos done, and that has turned into capturing moments with every dog I care for. 💜

Part of being a responsible dog parent is also being self aware, taking accountability, doing the right thing even when it’s the hard thing, admitting when you’re wrong, and learning from your mistakes.

As a society, we treat dogs as disposable and we need to change that.

Luna has waited over 2 years for a family to call her own. After all the waiting, the adoption events, having little to no interest, and being dog and kid friendly, she has officially been adopted! 💜😭

This has been one of the hardest secrets I’ve kept, but it was worth the wait.

I could not be happier for Luna and her new family! This is what dog rescue is all about. 🥹

One of the dogs (Kane) I was dog sitting would “stalk” one of his furry siblings Kenzie. At first, I didn’t know what he was doing and then I realized that he could tell several minutes before that she was going to p**p!

He would watch her intensely, watch her every move, and as soon as she would start to squat he would sprint over to her.

He loved eating her p**p straight out of the dispenser. 🫣

I was still able to use Bubs Bags, but the other times Kane was doing the cleanup. 😂🤢
