I blinked…and somehow the little boy who used to dig scrap flowers out of the trash and put them in a bud vase is designing arrangements of his own.

Yesterday, I let him pick out whatever he wanted in the cooler and make 2 arrangements. The first one was with a little guidance and the second only needed a few suggestions on where to place some of the filler.

I am honestly blown away by how well he did.

Then I realized…he’s spent half his life in a flower shop. He’s watched countless arrangements being made, helped clean buckets, processed flowers, gone on deliveries, and been surrounded by this world almost every day. I guess some of it was bound to stick!

Watching him create something with his own hands and seeing how proud he was when he finished made my heart so full. He’s already asking when the next wedding is so he can help.

I’m so proud of you, Tanner! I can’t wait to see what you create next!
