TECH TIP TUESDAY:

Corpsing! There are so many ways to do it, and this video shows the method we like the best.

This is a pretty classic technique using cheesecloth and latex. The real "secret sauce" is our Dura-Grime and Dura-Blood, which really make the painted latex cloth look like zombified skin!

Want to try this method to bring some of your props back to life? Check out our new Corpsing Kit here:

Excellent example of housing electronics for outdoor props from Oak Lane Cemetery. This Tombstone Rocker design is amazing too. Can't wait to see the finished prop!

TECH TIP TUESDAY:

Introducing WireMaster!

This is something we have been working on behind the scenes here and we're hoping it will be a really useful tool for our customers. WireMaster is a free, browser-based application that allows you to easily create custom wiring diagrams or our products!

Currently the program is in beta and still being developed, but we wanted to invite all our FrightProps customers and haunt tech fanatics to test it out and help us improve and fine tune it. So, if you're a user of our products, head on over to https://www.frightprops.com/wiremaster and check it out!

Let us know what you like, what you don't like, and any bugs or inaccuracies you come across.

This is still a work in progress, so wiring might not be 100% correct at this point, so please check with us before following any of the wiring guides produced using it. As we continue to tweak and finalize it the accuracy will improve.

Let us know what you think and become a WIREMASTER!

TECH TIP TUESDAY:

There are a lot of options when it comes to creating a water spray effect for your haunt. My personal favorite is our Electric Spray System. It's a reliable effect that has the added bonus of not requiring compressed air!

Check out this video for an overview on how to set up these water sprayers and program them with a PicoBoo ONE controller.

TECH TIP TUESDAY:

A new light controller perfect for creating quick lighting effects with standard 110v AC light bulbs!

This controller has a ton of great modes to choose from and works with incandescent and dimmable LED lights. It's sometimes tough to tell for sure which LEDs will works with these sorts of controllers. A good basic rule of thumb is the "dumber" an LED light is, the more likely it will work with a controller like this. That means LED lights that offer color chnaging modes, built-in brightness adjustments or other "smart" features are not likely to work.

TECH TIP TUESDAY:

Every good haunt needs spooky audio to really set the scene. In this video I introduce and show some of the features of our newest audio player, the TriggerSound EX.

The TriggerSound EX is a triggerable MP3 Player with 7 trigger inputs and a variety of modes to choose from. You can play a looping audio file, trigger a scare sound to interrupt a looping file, trigger different scare sounds depending on which input is triggered and more!

In this video I go over how to load sounds onto an SD card for use with the unit, as well as how to configure the sound mode and wire a trigger to the inputs.
