We 💛 our new Ishimori Wood Stone saxophones and we hope you will too!

Master craftsman Shinji Ishimori launched the Woodstone brand in the late 1990s. What began with handcrafted ligatures has since expanded to include mouthpieces, reeds, and other accessories along with saxophones.

We’ve just received two 'Super Custom' Altos and a 'New Vintage' tenor, which are all ready to find their new home.

Excited to announce Backun Days at MMI April 13-14, 2026 at Midwest Musical Imports! We will be hosting world renown clarinet designer Morrie Backun, expert mouthpiece craftsman Richard Hawkins and Backun’s VP of sales Joel Jaffe.
Book an appointment to work with these craftsmen to learn more about Backun's amazing new line of instruments and accessories. This is a rare opportunity to work one-on-one.

Oh no, this contra is broken! Just kidding, it's supposed to come apart. We just got this Kronwalt contrabassoon in from Wolf! Not only does it come apart and fit in this brilliant case, it also sounds amazing and is super even and clear. If you're a contra player, we'd love for you to experience this instrument at our store and showroom!
