🚧 Downtown Manistee Streetscape Project Weekly Update 🚧

Downtown businesses remain OPEN and accessible throughout construction, and we encourage the community to continue shopping, dining, and supporting local as improvements continue.

Last week's progress: Crews completed installation of storm sewer drainage structures, covers, and connecting storm sewer pipe in the plaza and Pine Street intersection. Concrete curb installation, including new bump-outs, was completed at the Pine and River Street intersection, and additional curb work was completed at the northwest corner of the Pine and Water Street intersection.

What's happening this week: Construction crews will continue concrete flatwork and ADA ramp installation in the plaza, Pine and River Street intersection, and Pine and Water Street intersection. Earth excavation and site grading will take place in the plaza area to prepare for upcoming brick paver installation, while underground electrical work continues throughout the plaza.

Traffic update:
• Detour route remains in place via Maple Street to Water Street
• River Street from Oak Street to Spruce Street is closed to traffic
• All downtown businesses remain OPEN and accessible within the work zone and closed section of River Street
• Temporary walkways remain in place for access to The Outsider and the marina

🚧 Downtown Manistee Streetscape Project Weekly Update 🚧

Downtown businesses remain OPEN and accessible throughout construction, and we encourage the community to continue shopping, dining, and supporting local during these improvements.

Last week’s progress:
Crews completed storm sewer installation at the Pine Street and River Street intersection, finished concrete curb work at the west end of the River Street Plaza and northeast corner of the Pine and River intersection, and continued underground electrical conduit installation throughout the plaza area.

What’s happening this week:
Construction crews will complete additional concrete curb and sidewalk work at the Pine and River intersection while continuing concrete flatwork and underground electrical installation in the plaza area. Additional removals will also begin in the Triangle Park area as work continues moving forward.

Traffic update:
• Detour route remains in place via Maple Street to Waters Street
• Oak Street to River Street is closed to traffic
• All downtown businesses remain OPEN and accessible within the work zone and closed section of River Street
• Temporary walkways remain in place for access to the marina and The Outsider
