This Forest Festival favorite returns in 2026!

The Mariner Band Boosters are excited to bring back the beloved Duck Race! Watch as 1,500 yellow rubber ducks are dropped from the Maple Street Bridge, plunging into the river and racing to the finish line near the Elk’s Lodge #250.

Members of the U.S. Coast Guard and the Manistee County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol will be there to scoop them up and determine the winners!

Prizes:
1st Place – $500 Cash
2nd Place – $100 Cash
3rd Place – $50 Cash
Last Place – $25 Cash

❄️ THANK YOU, MANISTEE! ❄️

Last Saturday’s Chili Cook-Off was absolutely incredible! We were blown away by the turnout — it was busy from start to finish, and the energy downtown was just amazing. Events like this remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a supportive, fun community. ❤️

We also want to give a special shout-out to a talented local teen, Hunter, who created the recipe for the Meatloaf Chili we served. We loved being able to share something unique that came straight from one of our own community members!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, sampled chili, voted, chatted, and supported local businesses. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.
