O'Halloran is charting a new course with his modern spice shop and restaurant The Deliciouser. More than 30 years into his career — which includes his work at legendary Madison restaurants Lombardino’s and The Old Fashioned — O’Halloran is using curiosity as his compass to trace the histories, techniques and traditions behind cuisines from around the world.

Also in this issue, Emma Waldinger highlights six chefs — all 32 or younger — who are laying the groundwork for a healthier and more sustainable culinary industry in Madison.

This Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 we will be featuring the work of local artist Poornima Moorthy as part of MMoCA Spring Gallery Night. Poornima will have an array of cards and prints available for purchase. She is a Madison-based South Asian American artist who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts from Alverno College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.
