Sugar Shack is in it's 7th location since opening in 1981---currently (since 2022) in cyberspace; most recently (from 2003 to 2022) at 2301 Atwood Avenue--one block from the Harmony Bar and three blocks from the Barrymore Theater. Four separate rooms--a record room,cd room,video& dvd room & cassette room
Almost everything was categorized & alphabetized so you could easily find what you were looki

ng for. Before the end of the year, it moved to 431 W. Gorham, and stayed there till 1989, when the store moved to Mifflin Street, across the street from the Madison Central Library. A little more than a year later, relocated to the 100 block of State Street. On April 1, 1993, Sugar Shack moved to the 500 block of State Street where it remained till August 2003.
