Finished and ready for a home. ( let me know if you're interested)
The scabard has 10 peices of poplar. I had to make it curved to accommodate the blade. The seahorse is hand drawn onto the wood with a wood burner .
The blades edge is hand sharpened up to 3000 grit. I coated the whole thing in axe wax .

Beautiful temper... now to finish it without losing that glow. @ Layton, Utah

Smaller knife with a mustard patina on the blade done before heat treating. Poplar handle with copper wire pins coated in axe wax after soaking it in super glue. Hand sanded to 1500 grit. Hand shaped with whetstone to 3000 grit. Cowhide leather sheath. @ Layton, Utah
