❤️🤍💙Honoring Flag Day
Today we celebrate the adoption of the United States flag, a symbol that has carried our nation through times of hope, hardship, and change. Flag Day invites us to reflect on the generations who lived, worked, and served under its colors, including the families who shaped Lancaster from its earliest days.

📜 A Piece of Local History
Many early Lancaster homes displayed hand sewn flags during town gatherings and patriotic holidays. These simple banners, often made from whatever fabric was available, became treasured family keepsakes passed down through the years.

As we mark Flag Day, we honor the stories, sacrifices, and shared history represented in every star and stripe.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Flag Day in Lancaster.❤️🤍💙

🍓 National Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Day

Today we celebrate a true New England favorite. Strawberry rhubarb pie has been part of local kitchens since the nineteenth century, when families paired early summer berries with tart garden rhubarb for a bright and comforting dessert.

🥧 Historic Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Mix two cups of sliced rhubarb with two cups of sliced strawberries, one cup of sugar, and two tablespoons of flour. Let the mixture rest while you line a pie plate with your favorite crust. Fill the crust, add a top crust or lattice, and bake at 400 degrees until the filling bubbles and the crust turns golden. The result is a classic early summer pie much like the ones enjoyed in New England homes generations ago.

Wishing everyone a sweet and sunny National Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Day.
