When we’re reaching for a book, or cueing up a movie, we find that surf stories are the most fun, because the adventure is baked in and almost anything could happen. We are always happy to share our favorite media selections with our customers. There’s nothing quite like turning the pages on a true surf adventure story, when the search for waves is enhanced by the time spent along the way. The surf is up in town!! For those of you experienced surfers, stay safe out there! And we hope you feel comfortable using our shop as a place to get your surf essentials, for staying on the pulse of the swell!

For those of you interested in SURF LESSONS or our RENTAL program, we do say to be cautious in conditions like these! Especially if you are not a confident swimmer. We offer surf lessons year round here on THALIA STREET, but when the swell is up, that’s our time to surf!

Check out the team having fun on some waves behind the shop!

Come by when you have time, or check out our website for information on SURF LESSONS and RENTALS, including surfboards, skimboards, bodyboards, beach umbrellas and beach chairs!

We are intentional about the surfboards that we carry at Thalia Surf, and our reasons for carrying Crème surfboards are many! The story of gato Heroi and Crème surfboards runs deep through the roots of this shop, with refined designs, archived and tested by shaper Robin Kegel. These boards feature abstract resin colorwork, laminated along the California Coast, by JT, an under study who has shown himself to be a quick read on Robin’s shapes. This new batch of 4 longboards feature different tails, different colors; and, though reminiscent of an older style of mid-to-late 1960s longboarding styles, they lend themselves to a sharper approach to standing still. Available now! While supplies last!

These tee designs are from the hearts, minds, and hands, of some of our surfy artist friends.
