Looking for a beginner-friendly sewing project for kids this summer? ☀️

A pillowcase is one of those perfect first projects — useful, fun, not too overwhelming, and they get to actually use what they made when they’re done.

We found this easy pillowcase tutorial from WeAllSew, and it would be such a great project for kids, grandkids, or anyone who’s ready to get a little more comfortable at the sewing machine.

Let them pick a fun fabric, stitch it up, and suddenly bedtime has a handmade upgrade. 😉

Jackie brought in her latest finish, and we are in love. 😍

This is her Riverside quilt, made with the Renew fabrics and Fabric Finders chambray for the sashing. She even did the quilting in the hoop on her BERNINA 770QE!

Jackie is one of our teachers, but she’s also one of our best students and customers — always learning, creating, and inspiring everyone around her.

Finished a quilt? Blue ribbon.
Cleaned your sewing room? Blue ribbon.
Changed your needle before it caused chaos? Blue ribbon.
