🚨 North Carolina, it’s time to modernize our outdated canned cocktail law.
Thank you to WTKR News 3 for helping share this important story.
Right now, popular spirit-based ready-to-drink canned cocktails like High Noon, NÜTRL, Surfside, and similar products can only be sold through ABC stores in North Carolina — even though many are lower in alcohol than products retailers already sell responsibly every day.
This is not about replacing the ABC system. It’s about common sense modernization.
The RTD language was unanimously approved in the House ABC Committee, and now we need the Senate to act quickly and include it in the final bill.
This is a win for consumers, small businesses, restaurants, bars, wholesalers, tourism communities, and the ABC system.
Brew Thru has proudly served the Outer Banks for nearly 50 years. We simply want to offer customers the products they are already asking for — safely, responsibly, and under the same strict ID-checking laws we follow today.
Please read, share, and help keep the momentum going.
