Goodbye Outer Banks,
So, 13 years and 2 months ago I moved here from Maine. Not knowing anything about this place or that such a place even existed. I was just excited to be moving to the beach and so I thought it would be closer to home. Not long after I moved here, I got involved in a bootcamp program from a local gym. I loved the program and made A LOT of friends. Not too long after, I started coaching this program and owning the gym. Never in my life did I ever see myself in front of 20-70 people coaching. I loved being the owner of a gym and teaching fitness classes and meeting so many amazing people from all over the country that would come to my classes while they vacationed here. Over the years here I have learned a lot about the people here. There are some amazing people here and some that I don’t care to think about. I have loved, laughed, and lost a lot here. I have had so many amazing experiences here and then the worst of my life, but I hold no ill will. I will miss friends and things (Barefoot Bernies) about the OBX but I will not miss the OBX. It has changed so much in the last 13 years, and I find no joy in living here anymore. So, to all my friends I say goodbye to you. Thank you for your love and friendship over the years and I am grateful to have known most of you. I am headed to the mountains of Tennessee, to be truly closer to family, and on to better things in my life. I have nothing but love for you all and wish nothing but the best of everything for you all.
