Today - The Peter Schlamb Trio

Every first Tuesday, 4.30-7.30pm

Peter Schlamb is a vibraphonist and pianist based in Kansas City, MO. He recently released his third album “Pliable Consciousness” and maintains a busy schedule performing locally, nationally and internationally. Peter spent several years in New York City where he attended and graduated from New School University. He is an active member of several ensembles including Hermon Mehari, Ben van Gelder, Lost Wax and All Night Trio in addition to leading his own group Electric Tinks. Peter is currently a professor of Jazz Studies at University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Today - The Doug Talley Quartet

Doug Talley is a Kansas City–based saxophonist, educator, and bandleader whose warm tone and melodic voice have made him a respected figure on the Midwest jazz scene. He has performed with notable artists including Jay McShann, Clark Terry, and Bobby Watson, and is widely recognized for both his performance and dedication to jazz education. He leads the Doug Talley Quartet—formed in 1995—a long-standing ensemble known for its cohesion, collaborative spirit, and tight, thoughtful arrangements shaped by all four members. Alongside Talley, the group features Charles Williams (piano), Tim Brewer (bass), and Sam Platt (drums). Together, they create a modern Kansas City jazz style that invites listeners to relax and get lost in the music!
