Heyoooo - just a shoutout to my roommate Kimmie for taking all of my gently used and brand new skeins of acrylic yarn off my hands. In exchange, I scored a gorgeous hank of brand new, wool yarn from Yarn Nerds®️ | Lisa - Dyer | Knitwear Designer🇯🇲 from their shelves. All of this stash goes on the used yarn shelf for crazy discounted prices. Everyone wins!!! If you have an overflowing stash of yarn you need to clear out, bring it in to Snow Day Fibers and keep it out of the landfill. Plus a little store credit ain’t bad. It absolutely warmed my heart as well that someone picked up a near finished project of mine to complete. (It seriously is just sewing up some seams and crocheting two more tiny squares) nothing wasted.

Your Art, Your Stories – Call for Artists: Artists ages 14 and older are invited to submit artwork for Your Art, Your Stories, a community art exhibit at The Burrow, 200 E. Division St., Ishpeming. There is no cost to participate. Artwork in any medium is welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, fiber arts, sculpture, mixed media, and more. Pieces should explore the theme of telling a story (fiction or nonfiction) and be accompanied by a brief written story or artist statement. Artwork may be dropped off during the regular business hours of Bats Amore Used Books or Snow Day Fibers through August 28. Selected works will be featured in a public exhibit and storytelling reception on September 4.

Only read what YOU want to read. No pressure for page count, genre or even finishing whatever it is. Bring your book too if there are any parts of it you want to read to the group.
