HeroClix players and ROC community,

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

First, thank you to Aaron Morgan for the trust, the friendship, and for everything he has done for ROC and the HeroClix community over the years. I know how much time, work, and heart he has put into this role, and I have a lot of respect for that.

I also want to thank ROC and Howard Brock for trusting me with this responsibility. I won’t pretend these aren’t big shoes to fill, because they are. But I care a lot about this game, this community, and the events we all work so hard to build.

My goal is simple: to do my best, to listen, to be fair, to communicate clearly, and to help keep ROC events moving in the right direction.

I know this is a transition, and I’m sure there will be questions along the way. I just ask for a little patience and trust while we move forward together.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, supported me, or sent kind words. I really appreciate it.

Attention HeroClix players and ROC community!

After a lot of thought, I wanted to let everyone know that I will be stepping away from my role as Head ROC Judge for the time being.

This is not an easy decision for me. ROC, HeroClix, and this community have meant a great deal to me for many years. I love this game, I love the people in this community, and I have always tried to do my best to help provide a fair and enjoyable tournament experience for everyone.

At this time, I have some personal matters that I need to take care of, and because of that, I need to step back and put things in order.

After Origins Game Fair this weekend, Dionisio De Velasco Hinojosa (Dennis), who is a good friend and someone I trust, will be taking over as Head ROC Judge while ROC determines the best path moving forward. I believe he is capable, fair, and understands the standard we have worked to build at ROC events.

I hope that, once I am able to resolve these matters, I can return as Head ROC Judge in the future. I am not leaving the game or the community; I just need to take some time to focus on what needs my attention right now.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, worked with me, played in ROC events, and trusted me over the years. I truly appreciate all of you.

📦 Great news, everyone! The maps have officially arrived!

Now that they’re here, we’ll be starting to ship orders beginning Monday. Thank you all for your patience while we’ve been waiting on products to arrive so we could get everything moving.

Long Live the Hart!!! Last chance to buy! Last day to purchase and support HDSA is May 31st!

As a part of our “HeroClix for Huntington’s” charity initiative each year, I get the honor of designing a new map for the game of . Each year, I’ve chosen to honor projects I was fortunate to have been a part of.

This year, I chose to honor ”Hart of Dixie”.

A little show that could on the CW about small town life in the lovely (and imaginary) town of Bluebell, Alabama. Full of heart and humor, just like our community, I thought it was fitting.

This map harkens back to maps of old for Clix fans AND has a ton of Easter eggs for fans of the show. The Butter Stick Bakery, George’s truck, Wade’s Camaro, Zoe Hart’s Doctor’s office, the parade floats, volunteer fire department trucks and more!

It it looks familiar, that’s because almost any show that has ever shot on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank has shared this same town square, and now I share it with y’all!!

The names of the maps are based on the names of two episodes of the show from Season 1. The purple ringed map, “Heat & Havoc”, is based on the heatwave episode “In Heat and Havoc”. The the gold ringed “Snow & Soul” is based on the blizzard episode “Snowflakes and Soulmates”.

Our “Heat & Havoc” charity map $35 and is available for purchase through the end of Huntington’s Disease Awareness Month (May) through our site. All proceeds (beyond production cost) go directly to and the battle against Huntington’s Disease.

Our event has raised $84,000 so far this year, here’s to one strong final weekend for the cause!
