We are a family run business! We started My Fair Mahjong with our hearts wide open - Katherine began creating small accessories for our own games and friends, never imagining it would grow into a full-fledged brand and a family business. A simple question over a weekly game sparked the creation of our very first set, The Southwest Series, inspired by and honoring a beloved grandmother. From there,
our family has taken the leap and have had the times of our lives working together with our team (including our 8YO CFO "Chief Fun Officer"). Chad runs all of our business ops, and Katherine manages all things creative. From that moment the Southwest Series set design took shape, the rest (Texas, NYC, Southeast, etc.) soon followed and we became the very first to design mahjong sets that honor destinations - a completely new way to play that celebrates the places you love, places that feel like home, and places that hold special memories. Our Destination Collection began here and it's been such an honor to hear your stories about the deeply meaningful connections you have to many of our Destination Collection sets. These tiles add an additional layer of meaning to the already connective game of Mahjong, intensifying the fun and giving more reasons to connect with your community, friends and family as you delight in the designs and your memories of these special places. We were also the first to bring luxury mini travel mahjong sets to the market, offering a beautiful, portable way to take the game you love anywhere. From the original and ever-popular Mini Traditional Series to our multiple options in our custom design, these sets continue to journey with players all over the world. OUR INSPIRATION
We deeply value the cultural origins of mahjong and its many styles that evolved as the game spread around the world - Chinese, Singaporean, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Riichi, Korean, American, and many more all evolved from the original way of play in China. This beautiful game has connected generations for well over a century, and we’re honored to be part of that legacy.
