Hi, my name is Sharon. I’ve been coming to Rustic Market for about five years. I am here at least once a week but often find myself coming in more frequently.
I love the expansion of three years ago, with more room to display the many fascinating items, and I especially love the bigger parking lot. The staff are so helpful and friendly and prices are great!
While I enjoy shopping and looking at all the items throughout Rustic market, I especially enjoy looking at vintage jewelry and love spending time looking through the vintage display case.
I would like to thank the volunteers and staff for their kind and professional help and great customer service. I especially love supporting the Mission of Rustic Market and that all net proceeds go to support the Patient Assistant Fund at Rustic Market.

Hi, our names are Joni and Jeff. We are a “Power Couple” of volunteers here at Rustic Market. We just recently celebrated our 38th anniversary of being together!

We have both volunteered at Rustic Market for over 20 years (Jeff – 22 years and Joni for 20 years). Over this time we have seen many changes and growth, including the new addition 3 years ago.

We volunteer here, because we love what we do, it fits easily into our schedules and is close to where we live.

While Joni primarily prices DVD’s, CD’s and stuffed animals and gets them ready for sale; Jeff does a little bit of everything – from pricing to stocking shelves and anything else he is asked to do.

Joni especially loves working with the stuffed animals and seeing the different ones coming into the store for resale. Both Joni and Jeff love working with the other volunteers and making new friends.

When not working, both are avid sports fans following the University of Michigan Wolverines “GO BLUE!”, and the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Detroit Pistons. Joni also enjoys watching TV, especially game shows. In addition to following sports, Jeff also likes to bike ride and especially enjoys helping make muffins at the group home where Joni resides.

Both Joni and Jeff wish they had more time to volunteer and spend time with their co-workers at Rustic Market and helping customers have access to the items they need . They are especially proud knowing that their volunteer efforts help fund the Patience Assistance Fund at Pine Rest.

Hi my name is Diane. I recently moved to Michigan from Texas and I love Rustic Market. If I were to rate Rustic Market with a 1-5 star rating system (with 5 being the highest) – I’d give it 5+ stars! I am so happy that I discovered this wonderful resource with so many great treasures.
One of my favorite things to do is to bake and cook, so I’m always looking for supplies that will help me make fun, delicious and different foods. If it were up to me, I would come to Rustic Market every day, but I do come as often as I can.
While I'm always looking for cooking supplies, I am very happy with a surprising recent find of a VHS case that holds lots of movies. This was a perfect gift for my daughter.
The staff is so “awesome”, they are always friendly and helpful. I love the great prices at Rustic Market and the great weekly sales (I recently bought a chair for $1).
If you haven’t been to Rustic Market before (or haven’t stopped by in a while), please make the trip. They have the “best” prices!

Hi, my name is Barb. I’ve been volunteering at Rustic Market for approximately 7 years. My area of responsibility is handling all the book donations. This includes sorting and organizing the many book donations in the staff area and preparing them to go on the shelves in the sales area. I also do the pricing of all books and stock the shelves in the sales area. As time permits, I also keep the shelves in the sales area organized, so as customers choose books, there aren’t empty shelves – or books falling down!
Volunteering at Rustic Market gives me purpose and strengthens my commitment to service to our community. As an avid reader myself, I especially enjoy working with the books and providing customers with a variety of reading choices to enrich their reading experiences. As a garage sale enthusiast myself (from organizing and running my own garage sales, as well as shopping garage sales); volunteering at Rustic Market is like working a “perpetual garage sale”!
When I’m not volunteering, in addition to garage sailing and reading mysteries, I also enjoy Jigsaw puzzles and paint acrylics on a variety of surfaces. My most recent painting endeavors include painting Christmas Ornaments.
