Hi, my name is Barb. I’ve been volunteering at Rustic Market for approximately 7 years. My area of responsibility is handling all the book donations. This includes sorting and organizing the many book donations in the staff area and preparing them to go on the shelves in the sales area. I also do the pricing of all books and stock the shelves in the sales area. As time permits, I also keep the shelves in the sales area organized, so as customers choose books, there aren’t empty shelves – or books falling down!
Volunteering at Rustic Market gives me purpose and strengthens my commitment to service to our community. As an avid reader myself, I especially enjoy working with the books and providing customers with a variety of reading choices to enrich their reading experiences. As a garage sale enthusiast myself (from organizing and running my own garage sales, as well as shopping garage sales); volunteering at Rustic Market is like working a “perpetual garage sale”!
When I’m not volunteering, in addition to garage sailing and reading mysteries, I also enjoy Jigsaw puzzles and paint acrylics on a variety of surfaces. My most recent painting endeavors include painting Christmas Ornaments.

Hi, my name is Jesse and I’ve been coming to Rustic Market for about 3 years. I found out about Rustic Market, because I know someone who volunteers there. I find myself coming to Rustic Market at least once a week primarily looking for jigsaw puzzles. Although I also found a great deal on end tables that I love for my loft apartment.
The most unique item I found was a puzzle that I thought was of Washington DC, but then I realized that it was not a puzzle of Washington DC, but a puzzle of the Amish countryside. I was able to complete 70% of the puzzle, before I found a picture online so I knew what I was trying to put together. I completed it and gave to the volunteer that had told me about Rustic Market (see picture).
My most favorite things about Rustic Market are the friendly staff and that it is always clean and well organized. It is a great place to shop and I like that the proceeds go to the Patient Assistant Fund at Pine Rest.

Good morning, my name is Virginia and I’m a volunteer at Rustic Market. I’ve volunteered here for about 5½ years. My primary volunteer position is stocking the shelves and racks, so that customers have new merchandise to shop for. I also assist customers with the vintage and jewelry cases.
What I really like about volunteering at Rustic Market is the people contact and helping customers find what they are looking for or need. Rustic is a peaceful, friendly place to volunteer in a stress-free environment.
When not volunteering, I enjoy traveling with my sister. Day trips, shopping, or whatever we decide to do on the spur of the moment.
I look forward to helping you at Rustic Market!

Good morning, my name is Mary and I am an enthusiastic shopper at Rustic Market. I visit Rustic Market at least once a week and sometimes more often. I have been coming here for 10 years. It is a wonderful place to shop!
One of my favorite things to shop for is clothes for my husband and myself. I love the variety and quality of the merchandise. I have also gotten some great deals on furniture.
I enjoy coming to Rustic Market, because the volunteers are always nice, cheerful and make everyone feel welcome (which is something I greatly appreciate). The merchandise is well priced and everything is always clean, orderly, and very well organized.
If you are looking for a friendly place to shop for great deals, Rustic Market is it! I also love that I know that I am helping others through my purchases as all profits go 100% to the Patient Assistant Fund at Pine Rest.
