To hear downtowners gush about Goshen, you’d think they were boasting about their favorite vacation destination. Common points of pride include the variety of rest

aurants and bars, boutique art and gift shops, bars, lovingly restored historic architecture, excellent coffee options, bike paths, taquerias, First Fridays festivals, and handmade, world-famous Janus™ motorcycles. There are plenty of good reasons people love living in Goshen and frequenting our historic city center. In fact, downtown is so popular that real estate is increasingly difficult to come by. Historic buildings and homes in or near downtown have seen a surge in value over the last decade and tend to sell quickly (and without public advertising). New developments continue to spring up to give residents what they want: walkable access to downtown’s many amenities. Honestly, those of us who live here consider it fact that Goshen’s downtown is one of the coolest around. The walkable, bikeable, dog-friendly destination welcomes visitors and locals alike. So, don’t be too surprised when someone suggests that you should consider living in Goshen. (And really, why wouldn’t you?)

Two great events, one great night in Downtown Goshen! 🏎️ 🏍️

Make plans for Friday, July 3rd, and register your ride for the Great Goshen Car Show or Bike Night.

🏎️ THE GREAT GOSHEN CAR SHOW presented by Eby Ford

Show off your classic, custom, and favorite ride in Downtown Goshen. Pre-registration is required for guaranteed parking. (Space for day-of registration is not guaranteed.)

All registered entries will be eligible for the People's Choice Award.

🏍️ BIKE NIGHT presented by Elkhart Indian Motorcycle, Robert Adam Construction, & Janus Motorcycles

Bike night is a separate motorcycle-only event featuring judged award categories including Best Paint, Best Domestic, Best Custom, and more, plus an overall People's Choice Award.

Pre-registration is required to be considered for judged awards. All motorcycles, whether pre-registered or registered day-of (if space allows), are eligible for the People's Choice Award.

Please note that space is not guaranteed for day-of registrants

Downtown Goshen's Birthday Bash is almost here!🥳

Our Birthday Bash First Friday kicks off at 5:00 PM this Friday, right in the heart of downtown Goshen. From live wrestling and cake decorating classes to a mechanical bull and a bounce house, there is so much to explore. Whether you're there to visit Teddy the miniature pony, enjoy birthday-themed treats, or just celebrate with our amazing community, it’s going to be a fantastic night! 👏

We are specifically in need of help with these shifts:

Set-up 2 - 4:30 p.m.
Kid's Activity Assistants - both shifts
Tear-down 8:30 - 10 p.m.

Get your party hats ready because First Fridays is officially 8 days away! We have an awesome lineup of fun waiting for you, so make sure to plan your evening so you don't miss a single moment of the celebration. Check out the schedule of entertainment and live events for the Birthday Bash:

- 5:00 – 7:00 PM Catch the first live set of vinyl spins from Vinyl Habits at Main and Washington.

- 6:00 – 7:30 PM Join Young at Art at Maple Indian Cuisine for Cake Decorating Class!

- 6:00 – 8:00 PM Meet local authors and chat about their work at Fables Books.

- 7:00 – 8:00 PM Watch the live professional wrestling action right in the square at Main and Washington.

- 8:00 – 9:00 PM Enjoy the end of the festival with a second live vinyl spin from Vinyl Habits at Main and Washington.

Catch these other exciting events and entertainments going on all night:

- Stop by Wellington and Weddell Eye Care for their 100th Year Anniversary Party and sunglasses trunk show.

- Ride the mechanical bull or watch the kids go through the Viewrail Obstacle Course.

Getting ready for the Birthday Bash next week? We want to make sure your experience is as smooth and fun as possible! Check out these great First Fridays amenities available throughout the evening:

– Ride your bike downtown and park it for free at our complimentary Bike Valet station, presented by the Pumpkinvine Trails Coalition.

- Parents and guardians can take advantage of the comfortable and private Goshen Health Mother’s Tent to nurse and change their little ones.

- Dedicated handicap parking spaces will be available directly behind the Silver Circle on W. Washington Street.

- Don’t forget to recycle! Head to the Recycling Center on festival grounds to take care of any collected recyclables.

If you liked the kids' bike course from Viewrail last year, you are going to love what they have in store for this month!

This year, they are switching things up with the brand-new Viewrail Obstacle Course! It is the perfect chance for the younger ones to test their agility, balance, and speed. Whether they want to try the obstacles themselves or cheer everyone on from the sidelines, it’s going to be a fun night for the whole family.

Join our team or volunteers for the Birthday Bash! 🎂 First Fridays relies on a dedicated team of volunteers to make each event a hit, and we need your help to make our 19th Birthday Bash an even bigger success! Giving back to your community is a meaningful way to make new friends and experience the downtown energy from behind the scenes.
