Happy Doggo Rescue Day! Remi was rescued from a Pointer Rescue in Utah in the Fall of 2016. She had a very rough start to her life, having almost died of sepsis at just one year old. Since we began our life together, Remi has skied, backpacked, kayaked, boated, paddle boarded and snorkeled with us. She has been to 8 countries and 3 continents. She’s been on planes of all sizes and swam in 3 oceans and adventured in the Alps, Pyrenees and Rockies. She’s had treats of all sorts from across the globe. Way to get it done Remi!! 💜🏆🐶

Here is an amazing story that shared with us:

Last summer I took my Winston on a hike and at the top of Minerva Mountain he was running freely after me and got his front paw caught in between the cracks in the rocks. The injury was significant and he could not walk.

He weighs 115 lbs!
Thankfully a few other hikers were in the area and one couple had one of your emergency harnesses!
It took 3 of us switching carrying him just over 2 hours to get him down the mountain and to the emergency vet!

That’s when I knew I had to order one of your harnesses before hiking with him again.

He is all healed up now and ready for more!

Hi everybody and thank you for the well-wishes! It’s my first day as a one eyed dog and although it blows that I had to have my eye removed, I’m actually doing ok. I’ve still got one good eye and me sniffer and me hearers are working well! I was worried I might look funny but most people just think I’m winking 😜 at them!

We are sad to report that our beloved member of the family, Remi, will undergo surgery tomorrow to have her right eye (lookers left in photo) removed. She has had a small tumor in the eye for over three years. It started growing and she’s currently blind in that eye. As most of you know, Remi is the reason why the invention of the Fido Pro Airlift rescue sling happened. It was an accident in the backcountry with her that prompted the invention and founding of the company. That was eight years ago when she was just a youngster. These years later much has changed, including her body that is beginning to fail a bit. The good news is, this is not a terminal situation. She’s been blind in that eye for a few days and she’s been at very close to normal activity! 💜🐶
