Wondering what was changed between Handy Hook's V1 and V2 of the Dog Eared Backplates?

The functionality of both backplates are the same --> There's no need to upgrade from V1 to V2 unless you want. There are some minor differences in the backplates, though

🐶The Dog Ears were made slightly larger with more of a rounded top to funnel the Handy Hook into place when mounting.

🔒The Body of the Hook was changed by the addition of a slot in the middle of the Plate that integrates both plates in 2 separate areas. This Fixes the pivot issue that V1 of the Dog Eared Backplates had.

What gloves work with Handy Hooks?
⬇️⬇️⬇️
Any gloves with a rolled cuff should work. The lip of the Hook gets snug - make sure you pull the glove up until you feel it really lock in place.

Not all gloves work with Handy Hooks, though.

Gloves with extensions, whether that's cotton or nomex, will only work with Handy Hooks if you roll the extensions inside the glove, so the Hook can grab onto the rolled sewn cuff.

If you've had problems getting rolled cuff gloves to work with your Handy Hook, reach out. I'll see if we can troubleshoot the problem so you can put your Hook to good use.
