For the past few years, I've struggled with my word of the year. I'm always second-guessing it. Well, this year, it smacked me right in the face, and I knew this was what the Lord wanted me to focus on.

I've been sitting with the word "directional" since the start of Advent, but I felt today was a perfect day to share my choice as we open up the Jubilee Year.

This is also the first year I've chosen a saint for the year. Or better yet, she chose me. Have you heard of saint stalking? Because that's what St. Rita has been doing! She has shown up in so many little ways. Even to my oldest daughter. It was hard not to let her in and want to know more.

We're trying to fit in all the things this week!

Our kiddos loved going to the Wild Lights at our zoo with their cousins and grandma last night. Today, we're at the shop for a bit, then I've got to finish my wrapping 😳 before we go adult Christmas caroling with friends this evening.

Tomorrow is decorating Christmas cookies, Christmas movies, Mass at the Cathedral, and Christmas with my husband's side of the family!

As I said earlier this year, it still blows my mind that we have been graced with the presence of saints in our little shop. This past week, we had St. Therese of Lisieux, St. John Vianney and Saint Pope Martin, the Confessor, all come back to visit. But, we also had Mother Cabrini come with them this time.
