Happy Pentecost Sunday!

Cardinal Dolan gave this homily a couple of years ago and it's stayed with me. He spoke of the importance of the Upper Room and the faith of our Blessed Mother. Even in her own grief of losing her son, she was a constant for the Apostles. She was their mother too and still leading others to her son. So when we think of today and our prayer life ask the Blessed Mother's intercession to welcome the Holy Spirit into your heart.

O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.

It's been a quiet week over here because our newest addition arrived at the end of last week! We want to say thank you for all the prayers and the time to adjust to life as a family of 7.

While I'm taking a little time off at the shop to be home with our kiddos, the girls are still there to assist you. The online shop is also still open, but it's going to take 7-10 days to get orders out. I may be slow to respond to messages but week do my best to get to them.

Thank you for the continued prayers and support and please know we are praying for you as well.

Thank you, Bishop Kemme and for a beautiful Mass this morning and Eucharistic Procession through downtown Wichita! The weather was perfect and it was wonderful to walk with Jesus!

If you were planning to go to Adoration at the Stadium, it has been moved to the cathedral this evening due to incoming weather.

Today is the anniversary of the death of Venerable Emil Kapaun. Let us pray together and ask for his intercession going into this Memorial Day weekend.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Fr. Kapaun, we ask your intercession on behalf of all our military and their families. Please protect and guide them as they serve our country. Even further, lead them to our most precious Jesus Christ, that they may live by his example and spread the gospel even in the most trying of times. We ask this, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Rita - Daughter, Wife, Mother, Augustinian Nun and Saint. She carries many titles including patroness of Impossible Causes.

She has been saint-stocking me and showing up when I least expect it, so I decided to walk with her this year. I'm learning so much from her, but haven't even scratched the surface.

The bee represents the white bees that were found around her and on her mouth as an infant. The rose represents the roses she requested from her home when she was near death. Despite it being winter, they were found blooming at her home and brought back to the convent.

Today we celebrate her feast day which is also her birthday!
