Well folks, we don't actually live in Siberia where a winter temp of 24º that feels like 12º would seem balmy, so we're making the call we hoped we wouldn't have to and the Kerrville Renaissance Festival will be closed tomorrow, January 25th. 😢🥶🌨️❄️🌬️

We will just have to blow out next weekend with all the fun and good cheer we are bottling up from this one. The rain looks to be on Friday and the temps will be near 60º. A vast improvement!

The National Weather service says, "ICE STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Significant icing expected. Ice accumulations of 1/4 inch
with isolated totals of 1/2 inch are possible. In addition,
dangerously cold temperatures are expected Saturday night through
Monday morning.

* WHERE...The Hill Country and portions of the I-35 corridor,
including the Austin area.

* WHEN...Until noon CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous, making travel nearly
impossible. Weather-related power outages and tree damage are

below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite on exposed
skin if precautions are not taken. Extreme cold will become life
threatening and likely damage unprotected pipes and put livestock

**UPDATE: Kerrville renfaire will be closed on Saturday(Jan24) due to weather.**

Kerrville Renaissance Festival currently plans to be open from Noon till 4 on Saturday(Jan24) and Sunday(Jan25) this weekend on account of freezing temps. Leslie and I will be there. >>We will be open though our walls will be up.

The weather this weekend might be rough. Based on an email from earlier today, Kerrville Refaire's hours will be Noon to 4pm. Should these hours change, I'll let yall know! Leslie Stevens and I plan to be out there and have a plan for warmth. If you come out, please use an abundance of caution! We would love to see yall!!
