Monday morning thoughts.
A lot to unpack from the weekend. First off thank you, this weekend was Excelent. Full house on both days. Total event entries was 155. I couldn’t be happier with the turnout and how everything ran.
The entire weekend went off pretty much without any issues at all.
A couple of things I noticed and want to mention. The 1RC program and racers has always been tough and ultra competitive. But the 1/10 scale side of things has really stepped up to the plate. The Losi Cup class has become extremely hard to make the show in. If you managed to make the A main in that class hats off to you. Also the Buggy Street Stock class, special thanks to those guys. That class was a mess just a few years ago and now is one of the best ones to watch. Everyone has done their part to elevate that class and make it what it is.
The ASA class has grown and we have new racers in it as well which is great to see.
The 1RC program as a whole continues to grow. We sold a few new cars this past weekend which shows there is no slowing that entire program down. We have some plans for that future to help that and ensure continued growth.
Special thanks is goes out to Jeremy Libick. For feeding us all weekend long. He did that all on his own out of his own pocket and we cleaned him out both days so I’d say that’s was a hit.
Also thanks to Riley Smith for helping all year with race directing. That helps me more than anyone will ever know. It’s a tough thankless job and I appreciate anyone that’s is willing to step in.
Special thanks to Joe Cross as well. He kind of fell backwards into a maintenance manager roll doing any odd jobs I needed done.
As always Jeff Steenbergen was there every step of the way helping with the business side of things and being someone I can bounce ideas off of good or bad,
Eddie Dabroski for taking pictures. Adison for running the counter and making pizzas and anyone else I’m forgetting. Thank you all
This Sunday we hand out the awards for the 2026 points season. That will happen at 10:00. We have awards for the top 3 in each class. I am also going to have a little meeting to go over some things for next season.
Cheaters day this Sunday as well. Schedule is as follows
9:00. Practice
10:00 awards
10:45 seeding/qualifying
11:00 qualifying round 1
Of you don’t plan on racing I still encourage you to come go the awards and meeting. If you can’t make it but finished in the top 3 I will keep your award at the track or make arrangements to pick it up at some time.
Once again. Thank you for making 608 what it is.
See you at the races
