Summertime is a Good Time For Comics!
June has been flying by! We had a really great event with Hazel Newlevant at the end of March. So many new comics and awesome stuff to check out, so yknow, maybe give yourself a little treat for the weekend!
Oh yeah big news XTIAN FOUND HOUSING AND IS MOVING FOR JULY FIRST! It's in Hatfield. I really wanted to stay in Easthampton but I couldn't find a place to make it work. I met the current tenants a couple weeks ago and it was really chill. They liked rufus and he's ok to come with me! Moving is so stressful and expensive! I'm so relieved that this uncertainty and housing insecurity is coming to an end. I could use help with moving - I have two couches to get rid of. I'm downsizing some other stuff. I could also use physical help moving out because of my mobility issues and tendancy to get hernias. I've started packing already. I'm asking for help getting this over with. INFORMATION: Visit 10+ bookstores to be entered into the Grand Prize drawing to win $800 in bookstore gift cards (one winner)
Visit 4+ bookstores to be entered into a prize drawing to win a $25 gift card (or equivalent prize) to one of the stores on the crawl (16 winners)
Each additional bookstore you visit is another entry into the drawing! (The more bookstores you visit, the greater your chances of winning.)
The winners will be announced on Tuesday, September 15th"
There's a pdf for the paper passports we stamp with all sixteen bookstores listed you can print out. (We are currently out of printer ink but I will get more to give away asap. I think most participating store has them to give out too.)

Summertime is a great time for reading - so we're doing a sale! Buy one get one half off all graphic novels from the young readers section! BUT THATS NOT ALL - we're offering young readers a $5 gift certificate for book reviews to hang up in store and publish in our newsletter ALL SUMMER LONG! We're open to 3 reviews, one per month for June, July and August!
Our friend Addie made these cool pro-Autism buttons! She asked if we'd be interested in carrying them and I said we'd be delighted! There's five designs: starting from the top they are: green button that says "Please Dont Touch," a blue button that says "Ask Me About My Special Interests," a rainbow button that says "I am Autistic And That's Okay!," a differently rainbow colored button that says "I Am Not Damaged No Matter What You Think,' and a white button with rainbow design that says "Hello I'm Autistic And Proud!" They are $2 each. We think they're great! Multiple folks who have been part of the Comics N'More crew over the years are neurodivergent auDHD. Xtian talk about theirs a lot once they get going... and already has an enamel pin that says "Dont Touch Me" given to him by store friend and former comixmonger Dana years ago because she had one already and Xtian loved it so much ahahaha). All the money goes to Addie!
