Recent Eastman Chair I upholstered in a recent ulpholstery class. I found the most damaged chair in order to learn all of the steps. There were many layers inside and there was alot to learn compared to when I worked in a shop as a teen. Some of the people in class asked me what I was going to do with my royal red velvet chair. Of course use it as a flamenco prop.! I love all of the old Spanish looking furniture out this way that no one seems to know what to do with. This was a very physical piece but am happy with the theatrical results

Lovely day with the Conneticut River Conservancy with friends of Lake Warner. I got to use one of those origami transportable kayaks, a grand tour of the lake, and lots of water chestnut pulling which wasn't too difficult. Totally refreshed !

Managed to explore quite a few museums this past year. Visited the Clark in Williamstown by the NY, Vt border for Egon Shiele Exhibit. Loved the historic feel of the area. Was mildly impressed with the exhibit but the perm collection was great. I became a little transfixed with the frames and wondered if they were original to the painting and the period. I was a little relieved that the MET showcased frames as art in their own right.

Dear Valued Customer and Friend,

Due to the changes to Union street and the sale of the bldg. , I have taken it upon myself to use this as a transition time to regenerate and recalibrate. I will be closing after this weekend and my final day is Sunday 3-27.

Truly you have been a gift to me

Thank you for making my shop an interactive sanctuary and I hope to continue in other capacities in the future. This beautiful bldg. has provided a space to create style, develop ideas, and in some cases even make statements.

I have been fortunate to have a lovely parade of people who have graced my little space and resonated with my vision and me theirs.

For some it had been their first time out of the house after a trying period. Often I would receive friends and multi generations , couples, and those generally looking for a form of expression and a chance to be sustainable.

I have been touched by those who needed something to mark an occasion for example; a book launch, recovery/ healing, a performance, and work readiness to name just a few .

I look forward to create with you in the future conscious collecting , sustainable circular style fashion as well as putting my design skills to good use and yes, create more Vignettes….

Although I have not been able to do all that I had planned there are always things to create., I hope to continue to develop and learn and share with you all .. what a privilege it has been. I hope to see you these last few days at 52 UNION St for some good deals!!!!!!.
