We're just a month away from the 3rd annual Iowa Indie Bookshop Tour! 💛💙 From July 1 - September 30, visit as many Iowa Indies as you possibly can to earn a stamps on your passport and earn some great prizes.

Here's how to participate:
• Pick up a passport at your first bookstore, beginning July 1!
• Make a purchase at each store (no min.) to earn a stamp
• Turn in your passport to any participating bookstore by September 30 for a chance to win prizes

Kick off Pridefest at Storyhouse to meet and mingle with authors Katherine Packert Burke and L.T. Thompson! Celebrating their newest novels, All Us Saints and Devils We Know. Drinks on the house.

Cal says of Katherine's All Us Saints: “It's like she took an academic article on generation trauma, turned it inside out, and made it fiction. Visceral, meta, eerie, layered, weird (compliment)."

About Katherine Packert Burke: Katherine is a graduate of the Clarion Writer’s Workshop in San Diego and the MFA program at the University of Alabama. Her debut novel, Still Life, was published in 2024. She lives in Minneapolis, MN.

About L.T. Thompson: L.T. writes stories about q***r kids and teens discovering themselves and having adventures. They’re a proud library worker and the author of two books for middle-grade readers: The Best Liars in Riverview and The House That Whispers. L.T. lives in Iowa with their wife and cat. When they’re not writing, they enjoy picking up new hobbies and letting their interests cycle like the tides.

Storyhouse is teaming up with Des Moines Performing Arts - DMPA to lead a playful sharing of songs and stories for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary-aged youth accompanied by their fun-loving grown-ups.

This event is a part of a larger series: Storytime Under the Green Umbrella ☂ Events take place at 10:30am under the Green Umbrella on Cowles Commons (221 Walnut St., Des Moines) Wednesdays: June 10 and 24, July 8 and 22, August 5 and 19
