Younger American Poets Reading Series

Attention YAPRS Fans,

The Younger American Poets Reading Series is currently on a (hopefully) temporary hiatus while we seek new leadership and funding for the Series.

In terms of leadership, the Series is looking for one to two coordinators who will oversee the Series as a whole. Potential applicants should have a background in English or the Arts, and experience working with or operating nonprofit organizations. Applicants should also be Des Moines residents, or live in relatively close proximity to the city.

Those interested should be aware that the Series is nonprofit and coordinating is a voluntary and unpaid position as of right now; though, the non-monetary/experience/networking rewards for working with and running the program are tremendous!

YAPRS Co-Founder Kyle McCord will be taking his amazing new work to the stage this August, along with the equally phenomenal Traci Brimhall and Glenn Shaheen!

Heads up for our last event of the Spring and Summer Seasons! This Wednesday at 7pm, poets Jennifer Perrine, Wayne Miller, and Kyle McCord will be taking the stage at Beaverdale Books!

We're proud to be able to finish with such a great lineup, and hope you'll make it out on Wednesday to hear some great poetry!
