The Speakeasy Doesn’t Sleep — It Just Changes Seasons ✨🥃
After May 31st, the shipping boxes get packed away for summer… but Boozy Sue’s is far from closing its doors.
This summer’s agenda?
🥄 Experimenting with new fudge flavors
🥃 Meeting with local distilleries to talk collaborations
🖥️ Giving the website some much-needed love
✅️ - updated my FAQ, added Terms & Conditions, changed everything over to pre-orders for the fall.
🌿 Gardening my heart out until I can’t feel my knees
✅️ - In the ground today: 8 San Marzano plants, 3 Genovese basil plants, 2 serrano pepper plants, and 2 shish*to pepper plants. Prior to that, I threw some plant food down on top of the soil, then planted all the plants (with plant food in each hole i dug), then topped it all off with mushroom compost. (See video!)
📚 Visiting bookstores and adopting books that clearly needed a better home
🌱 Probably buying more plants than any reasonable person should
✅️ - this is an ongoing thing during the summer. And I have to order fall bulbs, too!
🍸 Enjoying espresso martinis from Toucan Cocktails
🎂 Celebrating my husband’s birthday properly
📺 Catching up on shows and movies I’ve ignored while making fudge nonstop
❤️ Spending a few days with my mom here in Colorado
🏥 Still working full-time in healthcare through all of it because apparently I don’t believe in relaxing completely
✅️ - also I need the benefits because fudge does not supply that for me 😆
✨ And getting genuinely excited for what fall season at the speakeasy is about to become
Summer may pause the shipping… but behind the velvet curtain?
The ideas are getting bigger, richer, moodier, and a little more dangerous. 🖤
Fall is going to be good.
