Found this on a pre purchase inspection.

Spending a few hundred dollars just saved this potential buyer thousands of dollars in expensive repairs on this Duramax.

“It’s just a glow plug light.”

Yes…because someone broke the glow plug in the head and tried to trick the system.

You don’t need to be a good technician to be a diagnostician. Would I pay for a person who does both? Absolutely but the point is, they are separate skill sets.
