June is bursting at the seams here at Roebling! 🏳️‍🌈

It’s Pride Month, and while we love celebrating loudly this time of year, q***r people, q***r stories, and q***r community deserve to be championed every single month, not just in June.

Here’s what we have going on this month:
→ We’ll be vending at NKY Pride on June 7th, come find us!
→ Our June Book Fairy is raising funds for the Northern Kentucky Pride Center; 20% of proceeds from select books go directly to them all month long
→ Quills & Q***rs book club meets 6/27 to discuss Fun Home by Alison Bechdel
→ Drag Story Time with PH Dee on June 14th at Roebling Covington

Ever wish open mics felt a little less nerve-wracking? That’s exactly why Mindful Mic exists! Join us June 6th at Roebling Books Newport for an inclusive open mic hosted by Nic Siemer and Anna from Sing Anyway. We begin every session with grounding exercises to help calm the nerves and get you performance ready. Sign-ups start at 6PM, mic opens at 6:30PM. See you then!

Last week handed us a sh*t sandwich with a side of 500 soggy books. Fittingly enough, one of them was this one. Don’t worry, lots of the damaged books are getting a second life at and the ones that are too far gone will be composted. The book room at Newport is open once again and all of our books are just begging for new homes!
