We are just two weeks away from the start of the music4U! summer season in the museum garden!

We are excited to offer free concerts open to everyone in partnership with the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra.

2026 Music4U! Schedule:
(concerts begin at 6pm)

• August 30 – UCelli, the Columbus Cello Quartet

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of free, live music in one of Granville’s most beautiful outdoor settings. Share with your friends and family - this is open for everyone to enjoy!

Happy ! Today’s feature is this violin made by Carl Becker Sr. and Jr. This violin was made in the 1960s while they were working at the William Lewis & Son shop in Chicago. Most of the time, the father was involved in the arching of the violin (the shaping of the top and back). The son usually carved the neck and scroll, as well as the sides and purfling.
We are lucky to have a few instruments made by members of the Beck family. If you’re interested in trying out instruments, give us a call to make an appointment!

This week we’ll have our last 9am-5pm Saturday before our switch to summer hours. Summer hours will be observed May 30th through August 1st. Saturdays will be reduced to 9am-1pm, but all other hours remain the same.
If you need an appointment on a Saturday, give us as much notice as possible as times fill up faster. Contact us if you have any questions!
