🫐 Sometimes good things take time.....

Several years ago we planted three blueberry bushes with dreams of picking fresh berries from our own yard. Year after year they struggled, and honestly, we thought we'd lost them.

After giving them one last shot with a thick layer of pine needle mulch last fall, they came back stronger than ever.

Today I picked our very first blueberry!

It's a small thing, but it's a reminder that patience, persistence, and a little extra care can sometimes bring unexpected rewards.

WOW! What a day! 🎉🐀🍬

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by our booth at the Corydon Extravaganza yesterday. We had an amazing time meeting so many new people, seeing familiar faces, and sharing our freeze-dried snacks with all of you!

One of the best parts of the day was getting to know our fellow vendors. We were surrounded by some truly wonderful people who made the event even more fun. The laughs, conversations, and support throughout the day reminded us why we love being part of events like this.

We're incredibly grateful for everyone who purchased a snack, shared our posts, recommended us to friends, or simply stopped by to say hello. Your support means the world to our little River Rat family.

Now it's time to catch our breath, restock the candy, and start planning for the next adventure. We had such a great time and can't wait to do it again in the future!

This weekend is going to be HUGE at the Corydon Extravaganza and we’re excited to share just a few of the amazing vendors that will be joining the lineup!

From vintage finds and handmade goods to delicious treats (including your favorite freeze dried snacks 😉), there is truly something for everyone.

Summer break starts today for this River Rat family.

The youngest Rat just wrapped up his junior year and is officially headed into his senior year of high school.

Watching him grow into the hardworking, kind, determined young man he is becoming has been one of our greatest blessings. This year he brought home high honor roll recognition along with several academic awards, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything he’s accomplished.

Between school, sports, late nights, early mornings, and helping with River Rat Snacks in between, he keeps us busy and keeps us laughing. These moments remind us that behind every small business is a family working hard together, cheering each other on through every season of life.

Senior year… we’re not sure we’re ready for you yet. ❤️
