10’ t-posts. I got the 7.5’ deer fence. But I needed the 10’ t-posts. “We don’t have any right now but they’ve been ordered.” “We have them ordered but the manufacturer is not making them yet.” “The website is wrong. We’re refunding your order.” “The manufacturer is currently making them but we don’t have an expected ship date.” Then 💔; they know they can jump the fence because it’s not tall enough. Perennial rudbeckia, sunflowers, salvia, coneflower, celosia, green beans, peppers, tomatoes, zinnias. I spent 3.5 hours, the night before, moving the sprinklers around my garden every 30 minutes (as I have been for weeks) because this drought is devastating. I couldn’t even talk about it. I wanted to give up. But, we have a plan. We have materials. And somehow, I have hope.

Zinnias! I had a lot of problems with slugs eating the little seedlings again this year. Luckily I have been finding volunteers all over the garden that I’ve been digging up and tucking into the rows. I’ve also got more zinnia starts to transplant. I’m going to have two full rows of zinnias, no matter what.
