🌍World Origami Days 2026 | Origami Around the World 🇬🇧
Origami Meets Nature at Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival!

In July 2025, Taro Yaguchi, founder of Taro’s Origami Studio, participated in the Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival in the UK, contributing origami artworks to a wonderful garden art by Alison , and presenting a special Giant Origami Performance.

During the festival’s press day, Taro collaborated with zoologist and children's author Nicola Davies, who shared fascinating stories about hummingbirds and their incredible migrations.

As she spoke, Taro transformed a giant sheet of paper into a hummingbird before the audience!

From origami artworks displayed in the garden to a live performance, this project brought together nature, science, storytelling, and the art of paper folding.

Celebrating World Origami Days by looking back at how origami connects people and creative disciplines around the world!

🌍 World Origami Days 2026 | Greetings from Poland! 🇵🇱
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Polish Origami Association (PTO), Yuzu, an artist from Taro’s Origami Studio in Japan, visited Kraków, Poland!🇵🇱

Our connection with PTO began in spring 2024, when PTO member Wojciech Wichnera visited our Asakusa Studio Taro’s Origami Studio | Asakusa, Tokyo during his research trip to Japan.🇯🇵

The anniversary celebration took place at the beautiful Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology, featuring origami exhibitions, workshops, and lectures by Polish artists✨

It was a wonderful opportunity to meet local origami artists, discover their creative works, and strengthen our connections with the international origami community!

Congratulations to PTO on 20 amazing years! 🎉

From a large-scale origami installation to a wedding celebration in Atlanta 🕊️✨

Inspired by our “Doves of Peachtree Road” installation at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, a bride and groom wanted to bring the same feeling to their own wedding at the Capitol City Club in Atlanta.

Our team folded and prepared the origami doves, then shipped them to Atlanta, where they were beautifully installed above the celebration by the local event team.

We love seeing how an idea can take on a new life in a completely different space—and how origami installations can be adapted to events of all sizes.

📺 Taro’s Origami Studio Asakusa was featured on Japanese TV! ✨

Earlier this year, SBC Shin-etsu Broadcasting visited our Asakusa Studio for their program “Sustainable Uppii.”

SBC announcer Keiko Nakazawa explored the studio, discovered origami works by our artists in Japan and the US, and took on two origami challenges herself: Mt. Fuji ⛰️ and an advanced origami rose! 🌹

The segment also introduced how “Origami” has spread around the world, from education to new forms of artistic expression.

We’ve shared more about the TV feature on our blog!
