We began shipping some of the new 1/8 Black wheels to dealers today. We have loaded a few on our retail site and will add more as they are made.

We also had a small amount of our new yellow wheels that we made up and are offering them up as a pre-production limited run while we wait for our full shipment of production wheels.

As we announced last night on James McCoy's YouTube stream, BSR is proud to announce the upcoming release of our own 1/8 17mm hex wheel. The current wheel that we have been purchasing from another manufacturer has been discontinued and no longer available to us. The old wheel has served us well, but with the ever increasing speeds and forces of RC racing, some its issues showed up. With our new wheel we took some suggestions from both the drag racing and speed run communities who wanted us to fix the hexes that would often strip due to the summer heat and stiffen the wheel a little so the wheel wouldn't egg under the high downforces. While we loved our super lightweight wheel, we did have to sacrifice a little weight in order to fix the flaws, but we think it was well worth it.

When we received the prototypes, we sent them over to James to test them for us. There is no other type of RC racing that puts a tire and wheel to the test than a speedrun. James took those tires with our new wheel and proceeded to break the RC Speed record with a speed of 238mph. Normally the wheel would be unusable after a run like that, but he spun the wheels up afterwards and they still spun true.These wheels truly are stronger and faster than the previous wheels we had.

We currently have no more of the old Losi wheels in the shop so all 1/8 wheels going forward will be on the new wheels. We will be offering them in Black and Yellow. Black will be available in April when we do our 1/8 run in a week or so. Yellow will not be available until May when our production shipment arrives. We have a small amount of yellow in house, but not enough to offer to dealers at the moment. We will have those available on our website.

We will be moving all the part numbers to the old wheels to Out of Production status and all new part numbers have been created for the new wheel. Dealers with orders on file will be contacted in the next week to see how they want to proceed. We will have all remaining inventory of old wheel tires on our website until they are gone. We plan to keep pricing the same, but we will evaluate that and will make adjustments when necessary.

We are currently accepting applications and resumes for our 1/8 and 1/10 Foam Drag Racing team. Those who wish to apply must be willing to promote BSR Products on social media and at races, provide trackside support as well as put logos on your car. We aren't looking for people just wanting a discount. We are looking for folks who will be an asset to the hobby and our brand. If interested email resume with some race results and current equipment used as well as classes run to [email protected].

We haven't sponsored much in drag racing over the years and want to increase our presence with a small team of great racers and even better ambassadors. Thank you in advance and while we know several great racers may not end up on the team, we are grateful for your support.

BSR will be closed for the Christmas and New Year's holidays again this year. Any orders received after 12 pm on December 23rd will not be shipped until January 5th. As always, we will see emails, but we will not fulfill orders until the 5th.

Team drivers attending Winterblast at PRW or the Hudy Race at Apex, need to have their orders in with us by the 18th at the latest to guarantee your stuff gets shipped out before Christmas.

Team drivers attending the Snowbird Nationals need to have their order in by December 23rd in order to guarantee you have what you need and that we can get it shipped to you in time for the race. Do not order your Snowbirds stuff and then practice on it. If you email the week before, we cannot guarantee we will have what you need. We often get very picked over right before the race as we are finishing up all the handout tires and stuff.

Last year we began a quest. We wanted to find the next compound. Competitors had found some that worked well. It was a quest to not just copy what they had but to find something different. 2 of our team drivers constantly tried stuff. Some was decent, some wasn't worth even a second look. They worked tirelessly. Kemp Anderson and Donny Lia tried it all. Can't thank them enough for their hard work. They kept coming back to this one compound. We then sent it to some of our other team drivers. The response was overwhelming that we had found something pretty special. This weekend at the US Indoor Champs proved it. 2 TQs and 2 wins, taking 2 out of 3 spots on the podiums in each of the stacked 1/12 fields. Old fashioned hard work and testing paid off. Hats off to Donny and Kemp for the notes, phone calls, and discussions. They put some time in to it. We are working to get stock made now and aiming for a January release. We think you will like them. These things are Mint.
