I’ve been so excited for this arrival.❤️
I’ve admired for quite some time, and even reached out before they began offering their work to retailers. So to finally have these little bottles of poetry here at Iris & Stout feels especially meaningful and well worth the wait!

Poems for every ailment, each bottle is filled with capsules containing custom poetic extracts on recycled paper — poetic remedies to lift the spirits.
No bitter pills.
No adverse reactions.
Not to be swallowed, except metaphorically.

They’re clever, charming, comforting, and a little bit magical. The nurse in me can’t help but love the idea of “administering” a pill with no side effects.

Designed in San Francisco and handmade in India, these paper goods are made from up-cycled cotton waste-giving textile scraps a beautiful second life.

One year ago, I met the incredibly talented through Deschutes Women in Business, just as she was beginning a new chapter and dreaming up what would become the 40 over 40 project.

40 portraits of 40 women over 40 — honoring who we are, right now. A moment in time to keep, to share with our families, and to remember. Part of the proceeds also went to Saving Grace, which makes it all the more meaningful.

We gathered on Friday to celebrate the collection, and it was such a special evening. Jen, you created something truly beautiful. You have such a gift for seeing people, listening well, and bringing women together.
We’re honored to share the 40 over 40 project at Iris & Stout until it makes its debut at the next event this month. Jen is continuing the project, so please connect with her❤️

Being part of this was deeply meaningful to me. I kept waiting for the perfect time to do the shoot — when I felt more rested, more ready, more like myself. But maybe the gift was letting it be absolutely authentic.

This is me at 47. A mom, a nurse for 26 years, and someone who has poured so much heart into creating a business, a shop, and a place to gather, connect, and celebrate others. I’m so grateful to have these photographs to share with my boys and to remember this season of life.

Introducing the Chocolate Library.
A wall of bean-to-bar chocolate, layered with flavor, craft, and story.

At Iris & Stout, we’ve come to love chocolate for all the ways it can surprise you — through flavor, craftsmanship, beauty, and the story each bar carries with it. This collection brings together local makers like Seahorse Chocolate alongside handpicked bars from Italy, the UK, Bulgaria, France, and Sweden.

The shelves will continue to change with the seasons, with rotating selections and new discoveries always in the mix. We’ll also be offering tastings on select days as a way to share a little more of what makes these chocolates so special.

We’re looking forward to sharing this little world of chocolate with you.
