Here's my fabric haul from this weekend's stash sale.
3 yards of what I think is a linen-rayon blend with a Japanese-inspired floral print. I think a pair of relaxed culottes is in its future, I have a pattern I traced out of a Burda Style magazine from a few years ago that I should be able to try for it. Second photo is an inspiration pic.
2 yards of a textured grid cream polyester, and one and a half yards of a woven plaid white polyester. I've been seeing two-tone garments in some of my pinterest inspiration fashion photos, so I still need to match a picture and a pattern. I think this will end up being some sort of tunic, possibly with some lace or other embellishment added to it.
About five yards of a bold, lovely silky polyester with a green, blue and orange floral print. This would be a real natural for a coat lining, but I also have a vision for a loose fitting blouse that I'm looking forward to seeing if I can work out. I think I'll start from the sweatshirt pattern that I used for one of our chapter's Spring Sew Fun events, and adapt it for a non-stretch material. With five yards, I can probably line a shorter coat (car coats were big on the runway this year, and Burda Style has a nice one in the 10/26 issue, see third photo) AND make a long sleeved top.
Not pictured: several feet of 1/4" elastic and waistband elastic, and a needlepoint frame.
Most important, I had a great time! It's always such a blast to hang out with my sewing friends, and the runway show had some killer garments.
