Holland Patent (NY) Hose Company Train and Craft Show July 11 & 12, 10:00 to 4:00 pm. I will be set up at this show July 11 only due to a scheduling conflict. I believe this is their first year show of this kind (?) and I am looking forward to it. 😺

First four pictures are at Harris Park in the village of Cayuga, NY. This is a former New York Central station and now repurposed into village offices. I then drove to the former Lehigh Valley station in Union Springs, NY (Frontenac Park) about five miles away from the former NYC station. It has also been repurposed into village offices. To the left of this station is a boat launch. To the right is a beach. The grade has been removed on both sides. A couple of pictures added in about Cayuga Lake which also shows Harris Park in relation to Frontenac Park. 😸 6/6/2026

This morning’s return of the passenger cars going by the former New York Central’s Cayuga Station. At the end of the video, looking right there is a fence. A spur used to go through there servicing Beacon Mills which is now a marina. This was a very active mill being serviced by NYC/PC during the day and by the Lehigh Valley during the night. 🚂 6/6/2026

The passenger cars have been brought back from Solvay, NY this morning and are heading westbound to Geneva, NY. 6/6/26 😺

6/2/2026 FGLK with excursion cars heading eastbound. I would imagine that the cars are being staged out in Solvay, NY for an upcoming excursion on the east side of the line. 🚂

More than just a day off. 🇺🇸🙏
After having my car in a Memorial Day car show at The Windmill Farm and Craft Market in Penn Yan, NY (where I had my train shop for 10 years). I stopped out to the Iron Skillet restaurant. They had this nice setup there.

After yesterday’s B23-7s, we are back to the GP38-2s. 5/21/2026 🚂

Second video today was at Martisco Station 5/20/2026. Made it from Skaneateles Junction to Martisco Station with only a couple of minutes to spare! Usually the GP 38-2 locomotives do the honors on the Geneva to Solvay, NY run but today we have three B23-7 locomotives! FGLK 1989 and 1943 are former Conrail locomotives still in blue paint. FGLK 2304 is former Southern 4016. The big building to the right was a former bean factory. One set of tracks went inside and another set ran along the side. The bean factory sued Conrail when their tracks were removed. Conrail removed several sidings on this line and put the line Out Of Service with the intent to have the line removed all the way back to Geneva, NY. For some reason Conrail was not allowed to tear up the line and so they put the “Geneva Cluster” up for sale. The NYS&W had the high bid on this line but Conrail would not sell it to them and went with the lower bid to FGLK. I will have to find my newspaper article on this and post it at a later date. Thank you to Jason Butterfield for letting me know that these units would be leading the train. 😺
