Celebrate the beauty of summer blooms at the “Big and Small, We Grow Them All!” Flower Show hosted by the Ames Garden Club and held at Reiman Gardens on Saturday, June 27, from 9 AM-4 PM!

Explore a colorful showcase of flowers, foliage, and garden favorites while learning from onsite experts ready to share tips and inspiration for gardeners of every skill level. ✨ Nature at Night: STARGAZING in the Gardens!✨

Experience the Gardens after dark! We’re partnering with the ISU Planetarium staff from Iowa State University Physics & Astronomy for a brand-new evening of stargazing and science in our wide-open outdoor spaces.

What’s in store:
🔬 Indoor Activities: Try hands-on activities exploring spectroscopy and remote sensing to learn how scientists hunt for life—and alien ecosystems—on other planets!

☀️ Sundial Secrets: Catch the evening's last light out in the Gardens to see how our sundial tracks the sun.

🪐 Venus & Jupiter Alignment: As the sun sets, we'll spot this brilliant planetary pairing in the northwestern sky.

🔭 Deep Sky Viewing: Use our powerful 8-inch campus telescope, smaller scopes, and binoculars to discover constellations and planets.
