EarthQuaker Day returns for its 10th anniversary on Saturday, August 1!
Hoof your way across the dunes and join us in the depths of Akron, Ohio, where sound has echoed from silos for generations and dirt is transmitted from the city's shadowy spires. Our generals will march you bit by bit through our barrows, revealing the terminals from which our devices are given life. From there, you’ll be dispatched into the towers to uncover one-of-a-kind devices to put your tentacles on.
Many of our fellow tone artisans will orbit this grand celebration to showcase their creations from within organized bays and provide demonstrations for you to sink your talons into. Furthermore, select masters of our devices will gather upon our stage to project plumes of sound into space. These waves will erupt, transform, and levitate as far as Aqueduct Street, Palisades Drive, and Westwood Avenue delivering an easy listening experience to every Chelsea and Gary dwelling within the pyramids of Akron's west side.
EarthQuaker Day is FREE and ALL are welcome! We command you to activate your sea or rainbow machine, crank your favorite channel, and follow the arrows until you’ve been transported into the white light of the Afterneath. It is your destiny.
However, you must leave your shank at home, unless you want a black eye from the warden.
