As some of you may have heard, Rubber City Comics will be moving our Tuesday live comic book online sale from the Facebook platform to Whatnot.com starting on July 14. The live stream will move up to 6 pm but it will still feature the week’s new comics (including variant and ratio covers). We will also still have auctions, $1.00 books, flash sales, and giveaways. You can even check a box to do local pickup rather than pay for shipping.
The best part is that WhatNot is easy to use on your phone, tablet, or computer. If you aren’t familiar with WhatNot, it is a really cool secure online marketplace of live streaming specialty retailers that is easy to use and a hell of a lot of fun! Rubber City Comics has been a WhatNot seller for several years We also run a live comic sale stream on Thursdays at 5:30 pm, so check it out. Hero Tomorrow Comics partners with Asylum Press for imprint and distribution deal. The first release currently in solicitation through Lunar Distribution is Punchline and the Vaude-Villains vs Violante #1. FOC Date: 6/29/2026

Comic book writer/and filmmaker Ted Sikora is proud to announce Hero Tomorrow Comics has a new distribution agreement with Asylum Press marking the publisher’s return after a hiatus following the bankruptcy of previous distributor, Diamond Comics.Ted Sikora is the architect of the connected Hero Tomorrow Universe. Since its first release in 2016, Hero Tomorrow has sold over 100,000 units. Previous titles include Tap Dance Killer, Apama the Undiscovered Animal, Bloom,and Punchline and the Vaude-Villains. Asylum Press, founded by Frank Forte has built a reputation for high-quality horror and action-packed content. Punchline and the Vaude-Villains vs Violante #1 - Drayton Hayes was a heavyweight boxer who was kidnapped by the Vaude-Villains and transformed into a super-powered murderous clown Punchline! The scientist who conducted his transformation (Fletcher) learned DNA enhancement from a session in Mexico with a mystic healer named Violante. Fletcher wanted those discoveries for himself alone and murdered the healer. Now Violante The Undead has come back with seething vengeance in the comic book brawl of the year! Welcome to our Rubber City Live Claim Show! Here’s how it works:

1. Join the Fun: Tune in to our live show for a chance to snag exclusive comics and collectibles. Enjoy the banter, laughs, and chats about the latest storylines with our community.

2. Claiming Items: If you see something you want, “claim” it by typing the given letter or phrase in the comments. The first person to show up in our comment feed gets the claim.

3. Invoicing: At the end of the night, we’ll tally up all the claims and send out a Square invoice that can be paid online or in-store.

4. Pickup/Shipping: Once your invoice is paid, your claims will be ready for pickup at your chosen location, or we can ship them directly to you.

5. Questions?: Send us a message on Facebook if you have any questions.

It's another great week for new comic book titles. There are plenty of first issues this week as well. We are open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in downtown Akron. The sun is shining and we've got outdoor seating as well 🌞
