Thailand doesn’t have a cacao history. We’re building one.

This week, we brought together some of the most respected voices in global cacao — and hosted a conversation that we believe Southeast Asia has needed for a long time.

Dr. Carla Martin and Jose Ganem of ICCR spoke on the history and global complexity of cacao, and what EUDR means for every player in the supply chain. Gricha Safarian of The Cocoa Project laid out the cacao roadmap for Vietnam — a region that is quietly becoming very important.

And our co-founder Paniti told the unfiltered story of starting Kad Kokoa — the naive assumptions, the market that didn’t exist, and what a decade of stubborn belief in Thai cacao actually looks like from where we stand today.

We also co-organized a chocolate and cocoa tasting with ICCR and Ariza from Indonesia — because knowledge lands differently when it’s in your mouth.
Thank you to Chulalongkorn University for hosting, and to ISTC — the institute we co-founded — for making Southeast Asia a serious voice in the global cacao conversation.
