Muirs Bookshop New Zealand's oldest Independent Bookshop. All the staff are huge readers and very knowledgeable.

With an "oldy-worldy" ambience our customers rely on us to stock the old classics as well as contemporary literary fiction and non-fiction, Maori books and the very best childrens books too. We stock books in most genres and keep the shop well-stocked all year round. Muirs Bookshop is a favourite with holiday makers to our sunny piece of paradise.

How fabulous, one of my favorite books of the year, so far, The Correspondent, has won The Women's Prize For Fiction 2026. If I haven't already talked you into reading it, we do have some stock today. The Non-fiction Prize winner is The Finest Hotel in Kabul, which is reprinting, stock due in July.
