The premises at 17 High Street,Galway was first opened as a specialist violin shop 'Galway Violins' in 1984 by Luthier Kevin Sykes and taken over by Kieran in 1996.Since then the range of stock has expanded to

include fretted instruments such as Guitar,Mandolins,Bouzouki,Banjo etc and a small selection of wind instruments.The focus remains on high quality instruments for sale and dedicated repair service.

Carvalho PTB-305 , four years old ,played lots with marks and dings but in good condition.
The frets have a small bit of wear and have good mileage to do before needing any attention.
Has just received a set up , refresh and restring. No bag or case €220.

Introducing Bourgeois Touchstone standard series -
High end boutique luthiers Bourgeois Guitars based in Maine, USA recently teamed up with Eastman Guitars to produce the ‘touchstone’ series ,where the guitars soundboards are selected , produced , braced and handed voiced by Bourgeois ,then shipped off to Eastman to complete the build under specific guidance.
We have this touchstone slope shoulder dreadnought available at a super price being that it’s a ‘B-stock’ but you’d be hard pushed to find the tiny cosmetic flaw if not told about it! Proved almost impossible to photograph.
Our usual price would be €2,950 - this is available for €2650
