❄️✨ Winter Hours at Rainbow Shells and Gems ✨❄️

Ah, winter in Whitby… where the sea howls, the wind bites, and the shop door creaks open around 9.30am seven days a week. Yes, we’re still here — just a little more bundled, a little more weather-wary, and a lot more reliant on thermals and tea.

That said, we are out of season, which means our hours are as flexible as a jellyfish in a gale. If it’s -4°C and the wind’s doing its best banshee impression, you probably won’t find us open beyond 5pm (believe it or not, we won’t be hanging around until 8pm while it’s -4°C and a storm is trying to blow us into the North Sea! 🌊💨)

🌀 With that in mind:
- We’re usually open from 9.30am until 4pm/5pmish daily.
- But if the weather’s wild, we might not be.
- Please don’t rely on Google for our hours. Lovely as it is, it’s not always our most reliable friend and doesn’t always know our business (literally).
- If you’re making a special trip, give us a quick call or message to double-check before you set off. We’d hate for you to brave the cold only to find us at home with a hot chocolate instead of behind the counter! ☕💙
