We have our own ethical clothing brand made especially for us by our tailors in India as well as lots of Indian bags & accessories. Our love affair with India started over 25 years ago. ​We love travelling to India on a regular basis to meet up with the small family run businesses, who over the years have become like our extended family. These talented artisans help us create and design our fabulo

Our pricing policy is guided by the prices set by the artisans, what the maker asks for is what we pay. This understanding and trust has been built over many years ensuring fairness to all. At Karma ethics are important to us and each and every one of our products carries a story of where it was made, who it was made by, ask us and we'll happily tell you who made the product you are purchasing!

What is a pendulum and how do you use one?

Pendulums have fascinated people for centuries from ancient spiritual practices to modern classrooms. They are weighted objects suspended from a chain/string and swing either clockwise, anticlockwise, back and forward, this varies from person to person and I LOVE playing with thme in the shop with customers, finding their pendulum and their personal yes and no movements (see below). You can literally use them for anything from decision making to what foods are good for you!

A pendulum can be made from almost anything, we have crystal ones instore but you could also use a ring, a coin, or a small weight attached to a chain or string. My first pendulum was a ring that i attached to a necklace chain which was great for trying it out before I had an amethyst one gifted to me. The key is balance and free movement so if you are making a homemade pendulum try to make it as balanced as possible.

How to use a pendulum:
Find a quiet space where you can focus without distractions.
Hold the chain gently between your thumb and forefinger so the pendulum hangs freely over the palm of your other hand.
Establish your signals by asking simple questions:
“Give me a yes.”
“Give me a no.”
“Give me a maybe.”
Watch how the pendulum moves. It may swing side to side, forward and back, or in circles depending on your personal signals.
Ask clear, specific questions and remain relaxed and open minded.

Not only have we made a new room within the shop, which is full of beautiful home decor but we have also given the back of the main shop a bit of a makeover! 😁✨
We've taken the fireplace out, brightened it up with a lick of paint and added some new bits on the wall behind the till. Our stunning sari tent that you all know and love has been moved over and is now a walkway for our customers to use so for those of you who have always wanted to stand under the tent now is your chance!
Have you been in and seen the changes? What did you think?
Personally i feel like it has really opened up the space and makes it feel so much more inviting.☺️
