A little throwback to 2023. You won’t find me at Pg live this year. It has been fun looking back to my first trade show - feels like a lifetime ago! Standing at trade shows has taught me so much about this brilliant industry that I am part of and also so much about myself and the sort of business I want to run. Still so much to learn and so much I would like to do, but I’m proud of how far I have come. Low energy, low bar to get started. I am always trying to find ways to make it easier for me to create, especially on the weeks when life is full and I am tired. Because pushing pieces of colourful paper around a page or scribbling on a page calms my mind and brings me so much joy.

Note to self. Been thinking a lot about playfulness recently. I didn’t go to art school, instead I spent three years at drama school leaning into playfulness and improvisation- my favourite module was the clowning module! Recently I’ve been wondering how I can apply that playfulness and curiosity to my drawings and in my sketchbook. I’ve also been thinking a lot about 🐌 since spotting this urban snail a few weeks ago.

It has been busy here with the Easter holidays and James’ 40th. 90% of my recent photos include my kids so I will just share these. Next week both of my children have their birthdays - April is a wild month for us! So good to get away for a change of scenery, it’s also nice to be back at work with the radio on packing orders for new stockists. I hope you are having a great April.

My workspace. It is small and often messy, but it brings me joy. Whenever I’m feeling uninspired or overwhelmed tidying and rearranging my art supplies for an hour really helps me to keep going and keep making new things 🎨✏️
