1979 Rickenbacker 4001 now refreshed.
Before and after photos.
Complete dismantle and Lots of elbow grease cleaning the grime off and polishing. its come up really quite nice. Has some checks in the lacquer and a bit of playwear consumate with age and use.
Replacement rubber mute supplied by .co.uk. (timewarp delivery!)

The Mandocellobird.
Commission build
Body: reclaimed timber from Snooker tables. The centre is Rubberwood and the wings are pine with a 2 dividing strips of meranti.
Neck: reclaimed snooker table mahogony with an Ovangkol fretboard.
Pickup: Hot dual blade humbucker.
Custom made Brass Bridge
Gold sealed tuning machines.
